We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Inside Sales Representative based out of Calgary, AB location (5329 72 Ave SE Bay #78).

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Inside Sales Representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responding to customer product inquiries both in person (branch) and via phone/email
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Present alternative options based on pricing, availability, and specifications
  • Clearly communicate pricing, credit, and terms in line with company guidelines
  • Accurately process orders, quotes, returns, and related transactions
  • Provide reliable updates on product availability, shipment status, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve issues
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling, upselling, and promotional offerings
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and applications to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
  • Maintain organized customer records and communicate demand changes to purchasing
  • Stay current on products and industry trends through training and meetings
  • Support inventory counts and maintain accurate system data
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional image in all customer and vendor interactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
  • 3 or more years of Industrial MRO, Fasteners, components, or similar sales experience
  • Strong customer service focus with professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, negotiation, and phone skill
  • High integrity with strong ethical standards
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Effective time management; able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales goals using effective selling strategies
  • Ability to handle difficult customers with tact and diplomacy
  • Basic business math skills (rates, ratios, algebra)
  • Technical aptitude, including Microsoft applications and company systems
  • Knowledge of logistics, shipping procedures, and carriers preferred
